People on the move
Franco-german live project about hospitality and exil
The associations zukunst e.V. (Germany) and Quatorze (France) invite you to participate in an intercultural project "People on the move".
What is it?
People on the move is an intercultural project aiming to address movement in several forms. The movement of people through the question of migration and exile; the movement of bodies through dance; and the movement of hands through work on the signage marking the end of the renovation of the Maison Bessoulie (see below). The work of the participants will be highlighted through a performance that they will prepare during these ten days and that they will present for the inauguration of the Maison Bessoullie. All formal times will be translated into French or German, so it is necessary that participants feel comfortable communicating in one of these languages. English is a plus.
Where and when ?
The project takes place in La Salle-les-Alpes from 3 to 13 June 2021. Participants will be accommodated and fed for the duration of the exchange at the Serre Chevalier Youth Hostel near the Maison Bessoulie. It is important that participants are present during the whole exchange.
Who can participate ?
The project is open to :
- Citizens living in France or Germany between the ages of 18 and 30. - Refugees living in Germany or France aged between 18 and 30.
- Asylum seekers living in Germany aged 18-30.
People with fewer opportunities for mobility, from isolated or sensitive areas will be given priority, in order to respect the strategies of the OFAJ/DFJW «Participation and diversity». Participants must have a valid identity document for the duration of the meeting.
Participants will be asked to provide a negative PCR test less than 72 hours old upon arrival. Any costs associated with testing will not be covered, but should not be an obstacle to registration. Please contact us if you are unable to meet these costs.
No prerequisites are necessary to participate in the exchange, but a specific interest in issues of hospitality, exile, migration as well as an interest in performance, dance or movement is a plus.
The participation fee is based on a donation, we propose several scales depending on your income and/or possibilities: 0€ - 30€ - 60€. The money collected will be used primarily to support the possible costs of PCR tests for participants.
Travel costs are covered up to 100€ for people living in France and 180€ for people living in Germany. They will be reimbursed up to two months after the project. We commit ourselves to reimburse all participation and travel costs if the project is cancelled.
